GaN-on-Diamond Wafers Now on Sale!

Happy New Year!
A few weeks ago, we started selling to the open market, 1”, 2”, 3”, and 4” commercial-grade GaN-on-Diamond HEMT epitaxial wafers – after 5 years of intense development by some of the brightest engineers in the world. The Group4 Labs team along with its partners could not be happier.
We offer great flexibility to customers, including those desiring small quantities, non-standard wafer dimensions, instruction on HEMT or PA fabrication, customized HEMT epitaxy, diamond handling and processing instructions, and customized diamond design. We also offer two classes of materials: a “BMW” class and a “Mercedes” class of GaN-on-Diamond wafers wherein the diamonds’ thermal conductivities are 800 W/m-K and 1,500 W/m-K respectively. Applications for the wafers include RF Power Amplifiers (PAs) in Radar (commercial, space, and defense), RF PAs in cellular base stations, High Voltage power devices (for converters/inverters in solar cell power supplies, etc) among others.
We shall focus our energies this year on fulfilling the GaN-on-Diamond needs of the world! We expect to have a lot of hiccups in the months ahead as we scale-up our operations in California and Rhode Island, but we expect to maintain an even keel as we deliver wafers to anyone who will buy them.
